A ghost story - A Trip To Hell

A Trip to Hell

After watching a Chinese ghost movie, I always feel revolted. It is always so stereotyped and the ghost will hop around and try to suck your blood. Oh , so boring! It ah ..ah …ehm ….belittles the audience’s intelligence.

Hell

A small town boy, I was never quite the same as my friends. To the uninitiated, the topic of ghosts and evil spirits will bring forth feelings of scorn and disbelief. Ignorance blinds people and so does prejudice. People go to school and learn a little science and think they have the answers to all the world’s questions.

Spend some time, brothers and sisters to read. Read all the holy scriptures. All religions acknowledge the existence of ghosts and evil spirits. They are as real as you and me…..uncles and aunties… brothers and sisters…… and little ones. They live in a parallel world.

Like many other stories, mine begins with: it was a dark and stormy night. I hadn’t slept well for a few nights and was feeling physically and mentally low. My end-of -the-year 05-06 financial accounts couldn’t balance and I had been taking my work home. As I stared into the monitor, my instinct alerted me to the presence of unnatural visitors and their aura. I knew I was not alone.

I ignored them but instead concentrated on my figures. I had these experiences before, and I had met enough interesting ‘characters’ before. Based on my experience, in a matter of time, there would be an encounter of some sort and I could at most hope for the best. Occasionally I would sense their last moments. If it turned out to be a particularly ‘nasty’ being………i would fall sick for a few days. My biggest dread was to meet spirits which had met a horrible end.

This particular night their presence was overwhelming. I could hear bells ringing and the room was crowded. I had no magic amulet ( I don’t believe in such stuff ) or whatever to keep them away so I just decided to go to bed.

It was already 2a.m. when I finally ‘fell asleep’. In ‘my sense of sleep’ , I was transported to a place far,far from reality. In this place there were lots of people but they were not people in an ordinary sense. They were like energy flows….. ebbing here and flowing there. It was a messy place, harsh wind, desolate and full of suffering, despair and utter hopelessness. There was no place to appeal to and the ‘inmates’ were free to roam but still captive and there was violence at every turn.

It was so eerily unreal. The depravity of the place was so unimaginably unreal. The sufferings…the loneliness….the cold…the ….pain….the hunger…….the mobs……just to be there was an ordeal impossible for a human to fathom. I didn’t want to die.

“Inmates were swirling all over the place unable to escape……to be captured and hurt….unable to…die …and the process…repeating over again and again…..

There was a particularly lurid and lucid scene. The mobs were watching a beautiful lady eating the flesh of a coconut…which she then regurgitated into a fresh green banana leaf. The hungry mobs rushed for it…one of the spirits managed to fight for it and got it which it immediately devoured. Immediately ‘he’ started to choke and vomit it out.

There were fierce hungry dogs howling, waiting for victims. One of the dogs fought for the vomit, won it, ate it and started to choke and made horrible sounds. The ‘he’s throat and body began to burn like a piece of coal that had been left burning for hours. ‘He’ was consumed by the inner fire in him and the crowds/mobs dispersed in despair and shock but there was no where to turn. Violent bleakness.

At that particular moment, I remembered the concept of good and evil. I then realized …there cannot be such evil…unless there is a ‘good’. Paradox? Or perhaps my mind was so depraved that it could conjure up such vivid imaginative horrors.

But the thought of ultimate goodness released me from my tortures. I woke up to a bone-chilling cold such as experienced in a deep freezer. The ‘presense’ started to evaporate as the thought of an ultimate good pushed all the horror images away. Still it was some time before the place began to get back to normal. The time then was 4.04a.m. The smell lingered….for an hour or two.

I believe this post will generate some comments and they will be most welcome. However let us not forget we are all born a little ‘different’ :)

Beng Beng, just read your post.

You know it could be real. You see I believe in a hell and a heaven. Yeah i am a Christian now, but i knew there was such place even when i was a shenist.

My dad (very spiritual guy and shenist) has a few of these experiences before and one of which he saw a friend died in a dream and was dragged to hell by the 2 “hell’s angels” the cow-face and the horse-face.

The next morning when he went to work, another friend came and told him the bad news that the friend (which he saw in his dream) died the night before.

He can see such things too.

But you need to know how all this make sense. Perhaps when u have the time/energy, give me a call. I would be glad to explain.
