Anita Sarawak to give a performance at JW Marriot Kuala Lumpur
How does one describe Anita? Exurbrant, live-wire, dynamite? The daughter of Siput Sarawak, she has carved a niche for herself in the hearts of two generations of fans. Anita is undoubtedly one of the most multi-talented entertainers in the region.
Someone once described her show as a live wire song-and-dance act. She concocted her own unique brand of entertainment, cross-breeding almost every music genre- pop. rock ‘n’ roll. R & B, soul , disco - with funky dance moves, outlandish costumes and stunning showmanship.
Supremely confident on stage, she was famous for her hilarious routine which saw her flirting and teasing poor unsuspecting males in the audience… . Hard to believe but she was once a hot fav of the gay sub-culture. 
And today….she is blessed with marriage to a man, Mahathir Abdullah whom she claims she loves very much. Broery Romantika is now a segment of her past.
She intends to demonstrate this love to her audience through a spectacular performance at JW Marriot Kuala Lumpur.
The script of her upcoming New Year’s Eve show was co-written by her husband with multi-talented entertainer Chacko Vadaketh, who will also be the narrator of the night. Anita would be singing 16 songs including two Malay tunes and a Chinese number.
One of the Malay songs is the teasing Tiru Macam Saya (Do As I Do), made popular by the late Puan Sri Saloma.
Tickets for the Anita, Laid Bare musical on Dec 31 can be obtained at the JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur, and are priced at RM500, RM400 and RM300.
