Sibu Lions Clubs donate to flood victims of Johor

Donation to Johor Flood Victims presentation ceremony
In a simple ceremony at the Poolside, Tanahmas Hotel tonight, all the Lions Clubs of Sibu showed their solidarity with the victims of the recent floods that devastated the southern states of West Malaysia. Although it had been raining steadily, it didn’t wash out their generosity.
A total of RM7360.00 which was collected was handed over to the District Governor of District 308-A2, Lion Mary Law witnessed by Past District Governor, Lion Cheng Yik Siong and all the lions dignitaries present.
The clubs were hosting lions from Kuching. The visiting lions are on a Flight for Sight Project where they will drive all the way from Kuching, gathering lions members along the way to Miri: with charity projects at towns along the way. There will be a countdown party in Miri on the 31st and representatives from Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan are expected to attend the countdown party.
The lions motto for the district is service with love and joy.
