Latest Malaysia flood update

Negri Sembilan:
improving in Gemas
Tampin, all the main roads in the district have been opened to traffic.
Muar 8pm Saturday,
Floodwater continued to hit several new areas in the district, especially near Kesang, Parit Bunga, Rawang, Sungai Balang, Sri Menanti and Air Hitam.
Segamat, water had receded. All roads leading to the district are still not passable to light vehicles.
Kluang and Kota Tinggi- improving.

Malacca, as at 4pm yesterday, 12,504 evacuees from 2,504 families in 38 centres.
Pahang, Kuantan water levels in several rivers dropped with practically no rain in the past two days.
In Rompin, evacuation still being carried out in Kampung Gading and Kampung Badak in Bandar Tun Razak.
Terengganu, the number of evacuees in relief centres rose to 249 people.- the latest evacuees, comprising 79 people, were from Kampung Geliga, Kemaman, hit by tidal waters on Friday night.
Waves of some 2.5m also hit Kampung Pengkalan Atap and Kampung Pantai in Kuala Besut early yesterday.
Kelantan, the situation is returning to normal
All the main roads in Gua Musang, Jeli and Pasir Puteh were opened to all vehicles.
Klang Valley … improving weather.

The meteorological department said the situation in Johor, Malacca, Negri Sembilan, Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang was expected to improve but rain would persist until today while in eastern Johor, rains were expected to continue until Wednesday.

Anita Sarawak, Edison Chen, Frances Yip and Maria Cordero entertain children at Genting

GENTING HIGHLANDS:
Children, from five charitable organisations met Francis Yip, Anita Sarawak, Maria Cordero and Elison Chan at Genting yesterday. There were also festive delights including turkey, pizzas and cakes.

They also had a chance to sing with the great stars although it was just for a few Christmas carols :) They had a lot of fun playing games too.

As for me, there will be no Paris Hilton or Julie Andrews to accompany me. Read more »

PAS Youth and its Ambassadors of Love and Relief plan

Ambassadors of love and relief

PAS Youth has done it again this time. I applaud them for coming out with this initiative. Catchy phrase too…ambassadors of love and relief.

The plan is to persuade prostitutes throughout the country to leave their profession and turn over a new leaf. Using volunteers who would play the roles of counselors, the team will approach prostitutes and show them the the error of their ways. Read more »

Bengbeng with some shots of Sibu, Sarawak

Today Bengbeng bought a camera so no more please, please lend me your camera and I will give you extra cups of coffee and kampua stuff.

What is kampua? Kampua is basically noodles boiled then drained, mixed with lard, seasoning, fried onion, salt, light soya sauce, and thin meat slices. A small bowl of soup will also be provided. The prices range from RM1.60 to RM2.30 depending on location.

Anyway, I took the opportunity to learn photography and took some shots using this camera. Good or bad, it is yours truly’s first efforts with this camera. Read more »

Mother almost loses child together with her Vios in Seremban

Thank God my child is safe

It was an ordinary day for Seremban mother G. Punitha, who had run out of credit on her handphone and needed to contact her husband. She left the car with her youngest daughter, Shobana, inside with the engine running to use a public phone near her Taman Bukit Kepayang home.
