This is the seventh helicopter crash landing in the past 3.5 years.
One passenger is still missing as of press time this morning after a Super Puma l-2 helicopter crashed about 80km from Bintulu yesterday afternoon. Of the passengers, 6 were Carigali employees, 2 were contract staff seconded to Carigali.
Our deepest condolences to the family of Madam Rose Kundu Bedindang on the loss of their beloved Matheus Mering August.

Form task force to check violence in schools – Lam Thye
Birthdays are always a grand occasion for the Chinese. On this particular occasion, we celebrated at Home Café, somewhere opposite the Sibu Municipal Library. It is simple food but nevertheless very filling. We must have ordered at least 15 types of dishes. Needless to say, much was left over. The food was fresh, the prices were moderately priced rather than cheap but it was worth it.

The grieving woman who is still grieving from the loss of her JKR husband due to a tragic accident now has this new grief to bear. Rumours has it that the family was upset they were not notified until it was too late. The police were notified by the hospital authorities.
She was trying to come to terms with her new situation in life when this tragedy happened. Totally unexpected. Read more »

16 year old Matius Mering August, 16 of SMK teknik found death instead of education at SMK Teknik, Bintulu. He was beaten up by schoolmates inside the school compound slightly past 5 pm on Saturday.
It is reported that he was transferred to the school about a week ago. He was also a boarder. Read more »

This soup is a staple in most Sibu Foochow families. At almost all occasions we can find this soup. A matriarch once pointed out her whole brood of strong young sons and beautiful daughters and said it all came from this soup. Now, we cannot expect the FDA ( Federal Drug Authority of the US ) to verify this claim but suffice to say, there are many who vouch for its goodness. Read more »
