In this modern world where every one is very particular about their image, jogging has become a way of life for many. It gives one an excuse to leave the house, do some exercise, work off the sweat and hopefully some socializing.
However a study conducted at the University of Heidelburg has concluded that people who jog more than 60km per week are at greater risk of developing osteoarthritis in their hips.
This osteoarthritis is characterized by joint pain which can be relieved by medication known as cox inhibitors, which block the effects of special enzymes, specifically Cox-1 and Cox-2 enzymes.
According to the study, no problems arose in the long-distance joggers’ knees. If you are a short distance jogger, do not worry. There is no increased risk of arthritis in the knees or hips.

i have also heard that excessive jogging also causes your urine to be tinted in blood. no kidding, man. moral of the story, do everything in moderation!
or screw jogging and take up rock climbing like me:)
