Razak Baginda’s application for bail turned down

What a mess! Razak Baginda never expected his life would change so much after meeting Altantuya . We only have his version of his events as we will never hear Altantuya’s version.

He is no stranger to Malaysians and is considered a celebrity in his own right . What happened was so unexpected that I believe most Malaysians were shocked because this incident is so uncharacteristic of his public character.

He met Altantuya in Singapore, had an affair with her which lasted eight months and in the process, he found her manipulative. He must have fallen in love with the beautiful Altantuya. I cannot accept that a man will do so much if it is just for lust. He spent some money on her and had also spent time with her in Singapore, Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur and in France. It couldn’t have been easy for him to arrange all that. Any married man will tell you that.

After some time, reality set in. He was married and had a daughter. Altantuya could be a social embarrassment to him in Malaysia. He tried to distance himself.

“It became very clear to me that she was both manipulative and at the same time, very convincing. Feeling vulnerable, I gave in to her threats and paid. This went on for three times and finally I came to my senses,” he said.

He claimed she was also blackmailing him. He was forced to tell his wife, daughter and parents about the whole affair. He also told his staff about the harassments since the deceased also visited his office.

In short, she was a problem to him that would not go away.

Then Razak made another big blunder. Being an intellectual sort of man, he could have been naive when he came across the character C/Insp Azilah. On the morning of Oct 18, C/Insp Azilah allegedly called Razak and told him that he had killed six or more people before and therefore could help him stop the harassment.

Razak could have taken this at face value and not thought too deeply about it or the consequences of that statement. In my opinion, it is unlikely Razak would want to kill her. It had not reached that level yet.

He might have been emotionally distressed with pressures from his family amid fears about his public exposure but it had probably not been enough to trigger him to find a hired killer. We must also remember he had once loved her. Even if he had wanted her killed, Razak would never condone having her blown to bits.

At his application for bail hearing, Justice Segara said, “We will only know at the time of the trial when we hear all the other people’s versions. Then, we will know whether he had asked to kill or not. At the moment, he abetted in contacting Azilah, knowing very well that he had killed six people,” he said.

“Facts must surface. You cannot hide. The truth will always prevail.” said the judge to the counsel.

    What puzzles me Mylongkang;

    Why this affidavit was filed so soon?

    Wouldnt it be suffice if only the medical records were shown in order to support his application for bail?

    Probably this is a prelude to more sandiwara to come,probably to proof that our no.2 tak terlibat or what?

    cheers.
