Update on Cambodian mystery jungle woman
In Phnom Penh, the father of the girl has indicated that she will not have to undergo DNA testing. He is certain she is his daughter. The girl Rochem P’ngieng went missing while watching over a water buffalo in 1988.
” We are lucky to get back and my family is so excited. But sometimes I feel nervous to see my sister as she looks so sad and seems to miss her jungle home,” said Rochom Ly, 22, the woman’s younger brother.
Apparently she can talk but people cannot understand what she is saying and is terrified of crowds. Only the presence of her father calms her down.
She has a thick scar on her wrist which leads to speculation she might have been held captive at some point in her life after disappearing from home 19 years ago.
