Snippets of other people’s lives
This is the first among a series that highlights snippets of other people’s lives :
Conversations picked up in a coffeeshop
Gender : Female Age : 40
Dress code : sexily, well dressed
Aduh, I am so tired. They charged RM500+ per table for 5o tables for the wedding dinner at what has been hailed as the best restaurant ( not named for obvious reasons ) in town. The dinner was no better than one prepared by any coffee shop in town, the portions were meager and the ingredients were cheap and common.
All we got was service, lots of it. There were so many staff in attendance and the 8 course meal stretched to 3 hours. Many guests left well before the final item arrived. sigh sigh.
Comment : Good food need not always be found in fancy and expensive places. Most dinner outlets in Sibu charge RM250 upwards per table. To pay more than RM500 in Sibu is to pay a fortune.

Hahaha… you eavedropped(not sure correct spelling or not :P) people conversation? Bopien… talking about wedding dinners, some people want face mar… rather have it at “high class” places that serve lousy food than the normal restaurants that server better food. After that regret coz send money down the longkang.
Hmmm… i’d take the opinion about the taste of food with a pinch of salt. Sometimes people already have too high an expectation because of the reputation.
Its true when ppl pay more they xpect more..i didnt eavesdrop..its just my way of presenting the story..i was the other party
