75 000 euros given away
Does money fall from heaven? No, it doesn’t ! But it does fall from a lorry. Marko Hilgert’s lorry, to be precise.
He had pledged to give away 75 000 euro away and he did it. Incredulous?

What a day I had…I think my pockets are quite empty nowadays with all the monthly bills to be paid and unexpected expenses and with the Chinese New Year coming.
However that didn’t stop a guy from trying to sell me a MP3 FM modulator. I asked him what it was. It was like a personal radio transmitting station to be plugged into the car and it would play on the car’s radio. The advantage is that unlike normal CD players, it uses a pen drive so the number of songs in the library is much bigger.
The price? A cool RM130.00. However I was assured by the suave salesman it was the best on the market
A guy who happened to be there when he saw that I didn’t buy the MP3 FM modulator tried to sell the Nokia 6630 to me..I hope I got the number right. Same pitch..best on the market for the price. A cool RM1000 but negotiable.
With my budget I best buy a plastic hand phone from the night market for RM3.00 and give it to Benghui to play

Aduh, I am so tired. They charged RM500+ per table for 5o tables for the wedding dinner at what has been hailed as the best restaurant ( not named for obvious reasons ) in town. The dinner was no better than one prepared by any coffee shop in town, the portions were meager and the ingredients were cheap and common.
All we got was service, lots of it. There were so many staff in attendance and the 8 course meal stretched to 3 hours. Many guests left well before the final item arrived. sigh sigh.
Comment : Good food need not always be found in fancy and expensive places. Most dinner outlets in Sibu charge RM250 upwards per table. To pay more than RM500 in Sibu is to pay a fortune.
