Bengbeng and Benghui go to the Sibu Funfair
The normally quiet folk of Sibu who normally have few places to go at night have been going in droves to the fun-fair at the site of the old airport. Entrance is a cool RM2.00 per entry which isn’t really expensive but yours truly did hear some griping about it

Benghui could hardly contain his excitement as we neared the place. The bright lights and the crowds…the noise…the atmosphere. As usual I was the driver for the night. I also saw a guy I suspected was a blogger but I didn’t dare introduce myself. He was busy shooting pics.

I was sorely tempted to join the folks dancing on this shaking platform but Benghui wanted to follow me so it was out of the question. I was also a little worried someone in high-heels might step on my feet if i got a little too close for comfort :) ...not that I am an overt amorous person hahhaha.

I was watching all the folks enjoying themselves going up a ramp and then coming down to be soaked in water before being dumped at the ending point. RM8.00 per person. Wow! But the people seemed to be having a wonderful time.

Benghui and I did enjoy a ride on this wheel thingy though as I judged it to be not dangerous.

I ‘donated’ some money at this stall and some other stalls. I didn’t win a single thing however it wasn’t my fault. The ground wasn’t even and there was a slight wind. Furthermore, I had an injured elbow from playing ping-pong. Also it was very noisy so I couldn’t concentratelah.
hahhahakekekekeek Benghui looked crestfallen when I didn’t win anything so I went to a stall which sold lucky numbers and Benghui picked the numbers himself. We still didn’t win anything

I offered to let Benghui sit on this ride but he rejected with disdain. “I am a big boy now,” he said.

He wanted to sit on this ride instead. I had to turn him down as I deemed it to be too dangerous for him. He didn’t seem to mind too much though. On the way home, I was stung by an insect which hurt a lot so I had to stop in front of the Sungai Merah market. The whole car smelt of ‘ chau ku ‘ or a smelly insect. The affected area felt very warm and hurt like hell. It felt like the time I was stung by jellyfish at Lover’s Isle in Batu Feringghi.
” Benghui, daddy oledi bring u see see funfair… so now u must study hard huh?,” I reminded Benghui. “Yes, daddy, I will study hard”, but when we reached home, he opened no book ..just watched The Aristocats the Waltz Disney cartoon. sigh..sigh.. ![]()

Awwww….poor u…how’s the bite now? Hope nothing harmful ya.
Well, kids will always be kids, what do you expect…U are a great dad, bengbeng! My parents never brought my bro and me for funfair or circus to bribe us to study hard wan…instead we studied hard to earned a free ticket from school then they were willing to bring us wan…
