I need gardening tip - pomelo

Technically this isn’t a post. I just hope to receive feedback. This is a pomelo which I planted about 3 years back. My land is clayish. It is very hard but my mangoes and other stuff seem to be doing ok.

This is a pic of the leaves. There is a slight discolouring.

This is the fruit. It is also the first fruit. I knew there was something wrong when it felt lighter than it should. The size is alright.

pomelo2

As you can see , it is the pink variety. it is disappointing as the skin is so thick but that can’t be helped. We didn’t know that when we planted it. It can’t be helped.

pomelo3

When we removed the outer covering, as you can see for yourself. It is very dry. But the fruit itself is not old etc. Is there something I can do or add or something to make it better? I cannot understand this.

Some feedback please.

    Bengbeng,

How many fruits you allow them grow on the tree? Reduce the amount of the fruits grow on the tree. Therefore, the fruits will not compete for nutrients.

Your tree seems attack by disease or fungi. The discolouring of laeve is a sign of disease or lacking certain nutirent in the soil.

Claysih land is good to mangrove but not crop. Possible to “add” more compost + sand soil (compost 6: sand 4) to it?

BB: Thanks I will try as you say and see how it goes :)
