Married woman forced to have an abortion by lover.
As far as I have always been concerned, women have always been a part of my life. I seldom see them as the fairer sex but Instead I have always regarded them as equal. It is only after I started blogging, I have realized through my surfing that being a woman carries with its status a lot of potential for sorrow.
A 26-year-old woman drank a lot, overdosed on painkillers and lost consciousness. She was sent to Sibu Hospital. Why was she so miserable? She just had an abortion. The baby’s father was not her husband. Her lover forced her to give up the baby and the grief she endured was almost more than she could bear. Her lover has not called or visited her since either.
In her words the guy knew she was married, had an eight year-old daughter and yet persistently wooed her. Hidden between the lines are probably the guilt she initially felt, the love she felt blossoming in her for him and the heartache when she found out she was pregnant. And how powerless she was when she was forced to abort her baby.
The child if left to live could have achieved great things, lived a life and left a seed for future generations to continue. I am speculating here but the lover could have felt that it was the best thing to do under the circumstances but are there any ‘best thing’ to do?
Here, as always the woman, is a victim. Persuaded and blinded by love which is eternal to her but perhaps a passing phase in a man’s life.

“The child if left to live could have achieved great things, lived a life and left a seed for future generations to continue.”
The child if left to live could have become a thug who perpetuated great evil and killed many thousands of people, destabilizing a country and ruining the lives of many.
Why is YOUR take on it any more valid than mine?
“Here, as always the woman, is a victim. ”
Furthermore, this woman made herself a victim. No-one can pursue you unless you let them - she was married. She had a child. She was not powerless to prevent his ‘charms’. It takes two to make a pregnancy, and she never accused him of raping her.
Notably, neither could he have ‘forced’ her to have an abortion either (did he abduct her and tie her down and stick a hanger up her fanny?). She could have had the baby and lived with the consequences, therefore she is not the victim. She is much a perpetuator of the ‘crime’ as the penis owner.
I’m sorry, what? How on earth do you “force” someone to get an abortion? She’s clearly above the legal age of consent, and her boyfriend isn’t her legal guardian. Yes, it’s very dramatic that she was apparently forced into a car and driven all the way to Miri (that’s a kidnapping charge right there), but there’s no way this clinic would go ahead with an abortion if she really didn’t want them to.
I’m clearly missing something, because none of this makes sense.
It is true yr opinion is as valid as mine. I have been accused of looking at the world hrough rose-cloured glasses before. It is probably true. To me, I don’t blame the guy either,I wrote “I am speculating here but the lover could have felt that it was the best thing to do under the circumstances but are there any ‘best thing’ to do?”,i didn’t accuse the guy of anything either. It is something unfortunate which has happened but the lady is left carrying the pain most.
Thank you for yr comment. I always welcome feedback like yours..off the shoulder, straight to the point and very valid.
