Family fights back robbers and robber killed in Nibong Tebal
It was every family’s worst nightmare. At 6a.m. a Mitsubishi Storm turned up at the home of the Tan family. While the driver remained in the car, the other three broke in. They ransacked the house. Then they demanded for the family car. The family could not immediately remember the whereabouts of the keys to their car and this enraged the robber. He slashed the family. The family was too stunned to fight back but when he slashed the four year old grand-daughter, the grandmother shouted for her husband and sons to fight back. When the police arrived, they found the gruesome remains of the robber in the house. The police are still searching for the other three robbers.
In the meantime, the neighbors had alerted the police.
A few things I want to highlight. The family fought back. A wise or unwise act, no one knew at that time but looking back, it probably saved their lives. The woman galvanized them into action. The neighbors alerted the police. The police came immediately. The family is very fortunate to be alive.
