Girl kidnapped escapes her abductors near the Thailand/Malaysian border
It happened just like a scene in the movies. Except that it was no comedy. The kidnappers were serious in their intent. The girl somehow managed to escape her kidnappers and finally a tale like this is told to the public. It offers a glimpse into a world few knew exist or believes it could exist. It could explain the disappearance of girls in the past or could this just be a flash in the pan?
In Kota Baru, Kelantan a 19-year-old girl was giving out alms when she fell unconscious after a youth spat at her. She was then abducted and then taken by van headed presumably for the Malaysian/Thailand border. She was at the back of the van when she regained consciousness. She remembers two men talking the Malay language with a foreign accent. She managed to text her parents and some friends before her abductors realized she had regained consciousness. They sedated her again.
Later when they were near the border and the van had stopped she managed to escape her abductors and hide. The abductors couldn’t find her in the dark. When they had left she found her way to a nearby village where helpful villagers called for the police.
I speculate the kidnap victim was headed for the Malaysian/Thailand border to be sold into the flesh trade. It is highly lucrative. There is a ready market and the unfortunate victims are powerless in their new country without any personal documents and become properties of the syndicate to be exploited and discarded at will.

i was taken aback when i read this in the papers. this could account for the many missing persons who left no trail.
i treat this as a cautionary tale for parents to take note & act accordingly. but sooner or later, we still have to let go of our daughters as they venture into the world. however, we have hope, & pray that God will send His guardian angels to watch over them.
It is just luck. No body is really safe if they practice such antics. The thing is to secure the border. How much can we protect our daughters and sisters if they are so organized ?
