The Sutra of Amitabha’s Purity, Equality and Understanding

Priest

To commemorate Wesak day, mylongkang posts the The Sutra of Amitabha’s Purity, Equality and Understanding

Wherever the Buddha’s teachings have been received,
either in cities or countrysides,
people would gain inconceivable benefits.

The land and people would be enveloped in peace.
The sun and moon will shine clear and bright.
Wind and rain would appear accordingly, and there will be no disasters.

Nations would be prosperous and there would be no use for soldiers or weapons.
People would abide by morality and accord with laws.
They would be courteous and humble, and everyone would be content without injustices.

There would be no thefts or violence.
The strong would not dominate the weak and everyone would be settled at their proper place in history.

Miss Anggun 2007

anggun

Yeah, thanks to the Borneo Post, I have another girlie pic to put on my blog. Miss Anggun ‘07 is simply lovely, don’t you think? :)

She is Hani Iryani Bonny Leong. It is a subsidiary title of the Miss Fair & Lovely pageant which focuses on talent.

The mixed Malay and Chinese lass beat 14 others with a ‘Puteri Gunung Santubong’ inspired song and dance number.

My diary : There are but 24 hours in a day

Tonight on chat, a life-long friend commented I am like a man of leisure. Unfortunately there are only 24 hours in a day and Sunday is the only day I am free. I spent the better part of the morning at the income-tax department ironing out details and in the end the officer made a mistake. I have to clear it with the income-tax department tomorrow. Before doing the income-tax, I had to ferry Benghui to-and-from from his tuition classes and send Mrs Bengbeng to the market.

My personal life and weight lifting/gymming

Hello everybody! It has been a great five months and this is my 450th post. Finally mylongkang’s baby is able to earn revenue through ppp. Please link to Celebrityfirst.com. I will definitely link you back. I need the links. :) . To celebrate the occasion, I bought Mrs Bengbeng, Benghui and I new shoes at the Bata Outlet in Ngiu Kee.

I have also bought a Canon Pixma MP160 Photo-all-in-one. It can photocopy, scan and print for a price of RM280.00 with coloured and black ink thrown in. If we detract the price of the ink, the whole gizmo actually costs me only RM140.00 . A pretty cool bargain.

Mystery of Sibu ghost solved

DSCN1823

This pic created quite a stir when it was first published in the local See Hua Daily. All kinds of theories were given as to why the ghost chose to haunt this man. He had no idea why this pic turned out this way after it was developed.

DSCN1921

Now the mystery is solved. The pic shows a man with an old comic book. On the comic book is a pic of the ‘ghost’. Apparently it had been photoshopped from the comic. Hhahahahaah

What you see here is a rare tiffin about one metre tall. It is used for full moon ceremonies. This means that when one’s child is one month’s old, the joyous family will use it to send glutinous rice, cakes, chicken curry to relatives and friends to announce the occasion.( this is the local equivalent to the telephone/fax/notice in the newspaper )
