I don’t quite understand why I include this in my blog. I am horrified by the ramblings of this man who is obviously ‘not right’ mentally and the horrible events that he has caused to happen at the campus. See the video and make your own conclusions.
It didn’t just happen. It was planned. He doesn’t fit the profile of any killer stereotype that I know of. Let us pray that events like this will never happen again or if an individual like this should pop-up, we identify them before further tragedies like this occur. I now worry for copy-cat attention seekers.
I worry about the consequences of his actions. It’s America we’re talking about. That’s where the word “generalization” (or stereotyping) is taken to the next level.
The question now is how do we identify them. It’s difficult - it’s almost unstoppable. How to screen every single person’s health records (which are mostly private and not released)? It’s hard to come to a practical solution. The only feasible angle to look from is gun-acquisition laws, I feel.
George W Bush used 9/11 as an excuse to run amok with Cruise missiles, bunker busters, daisy cutters, and MOABs in Afghanistan, then Iraq… and he almost did it again in Iran. In the process, close to a million humans have been killed and hundreds of thousands maimed for life (not to mention the future generations condemned to hideous deformity and cancers because of depleted uranium contamination). Just as the heat is building up in Washington, D.C., with the increasing unpopularity of the Iraqi occupation - and scandals are erupting around the Neocon cabal behind Bush - along comes a demented Korean kid who shoots 32 people and distracts the world from the REAL chainsaw massacre happening on a global scale. Hmmmm…. THINK ABOUT IT! People are going to INSIST that all governments enforce strict gun control laws and ultimately the only ones with any dangerous weapons will be the robocops and stormtroopers programmed to serve the Evil Emperor!
