Man killed by crocodile found

The search has been called off.The badly mutilated body of the crocodile victim has been found. He was found at 9.25p.m. on Thursday night not far from where the tragedy happened. The body was a gruesome sight and covered with bite marks from the chest to the head.

Now, the family of the deceased and anxious villagers wait for the Sarawak Forestry Corporation to decide on the next course of action based on stipulated procedures and regulations. Wilfred S Landong, general manager of Sarawak Forestry’s Protected areas and Biodiversity Conservation told the press that his men had been sent to the ground to scour for the crocodile.

In the meantime, the Sarawak Wildlife Controller has issued a license to hunt down the crocodile that killed Jamhari.

How will the hunters know which crocodile killed the man? That’s tantamount to giving a license to kill any and every croc in the area.

BB: how can they kill all? after everything is over, there will still be lots lots more understandably tensions and emotions are ‘high’. Last year on a trip to a place, we saw lots of crocs. later one of the visitors took at a bath at a lovely place and we took pics…until a local villager told us nobody was there bcoz many crocs and big big prawns there. we ran out immediately.we then looked around on the opposite bank were at least five of them basking in the sun.
