My wife assaults me and I can’t hit her back because I am a man
In this post, it is not my intention to explore who is the guilty party but to highlight the fact that females too do inflict physical violence against their husbands.
A good friend of mine had to go for a MRI scan at a leading medical centre after he experienced headaches. He told me he fell walking down the stairs and knocked his head. We just accepted that statement at face value. Nothing to question. Accidents do happen.
Everything was kept secret until one night we all had drinks at Little Umbrella Cafe. He never drinks but that night he was very moody and had two bottles of Shin Tao Beer. This on the surface quite successful good looking man with a great car and a nice house with a huge compound started to regret his life.
Domestic violence victim: “I miss my children. They are in Bintulu now and will be back tomorrow. I am living for my children. She will take away my children forever if I cause any trouble. She told all kinds of lies. Women are always seen as the victims. People are so quick to take their sides.
She is moody sometimes. She would punch me on the head or on the tummy. We have three little children. She stays awake until 2a.m. every day watching Korean series dramas. I do everything for them until they fall asleep. She is just too tired. I earn about RM5000 a month which she says is an insult to her family. “How can a man earn so little dare to marry a wife?,” she said.
I remember hearing that because I was with them then. She meant Mrs Bengbeng and me to hear it and most of the customers in the groceries section of Farley Supermarket. She bad-mouthed his customers and demanding her husband’s presence at all times to do housework, cooking, washing and taking care of an aged relative.
She would take every opportunity to run him down in public. I would close my mind and say I have to go elsewhere or excuse myself.
Victim: “What do you expect me to do? Hit her back? Punch her? I have just learned to be more careful , to have my hands free at awkward positions to deflect any blows and sleep in a hunched manner when she is in a bad mood or sleep downstairs in the store and lock it. Oh, she won’t harm the children.”
He lifted up his t-shirt. He was blue-black all over. All of us were shocked.

Kinda reminds me of I read not too long ago.
I hope your friend’s wife starts to ‘wake up’ and mend things. And I also hope your friend take some proactive approach in solving this problem.
Sorry the Link didn’t seem to turn out well.
women are united to go against men in such matter.. but where are the voices of the men?
