Sexist MP remarks

Character : 27-year-old lady, Economics graduate, immaculately dressed in attire ala pasar malam. Bespectacled, slightly built, very fair complexion but with the type of olive shaped face and big eyes that seem to dominate the whole face, destined to attract glances from males wherever she goes

Setting : a night spot in Sibu

Mimi: It is simply ridiculous. I am so ashamed.

BB: ( thinking to myself, oh my God.. what happened. I better tread carefully lest I say something wrong or put my foot in my mouth ). Eh..eh..is something troubling you? I almost have to shout to be heard above the loud music.

Mimi: I read about parliamentary proceeding In Taiwan and they fight each other. That is disgusting. I always consoled myself that in Malaysia, our parliament although not perfect is still an august house.

These sexists MPs make such disgusting sexist remarks in Parliament and get away with it. How did they get elected in the first place? Can you imagine the destiny and fortunes of our nation is in the hands of iiks( she made a facial gesture) these men? oh, , may God save us..another facial gesture made. ( her eyes suddenly seem like deep pools men can drown in )

Bengbeng, you are also a man. Don’t you think these politicians are an insult to the nation and an insult to all the ladies in our country. And the biased Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Ramli Ngah Talib. He heads the merry men in belittling women across the country. We need more female politicians in parliament.

Fong Po Kuan (DAP-Batu Gajah) is my kind of hero.

BB: But she is from West Malaysia. What can she do for Sibu?

Mimi : ( Looks at me as if I am the world’s greatest heel and shakes her head ) Aiya..you men are all the same!

Those MPs’ conduct has been disgusting, to say the least. I never had good impression on the Close-One-Eye MP ever since he was in hot soup over his personal interests (both the forwarding company - which he first denied byt then the company name was his own name, damn stupid - and that he didn’t get the mercedes he wanted).

This time he refused to apologise, and said he didn’t mean what he said. He’s a very incompetent rep. Bung Mokhtar too - these men don’t feel a thing when insulting their own mothers and sisters. How do you expect them to respect the people they’re representing? And just who the heck are they representing anyway?
