Hello.I am Mrs Bengbeng.I feel compelled to post after reading Bengbeng’s post on meme,10 things Mrs Bengbeng pisses me off.

I don’t think I piss him off.If I do,he wouldn’t have married me.hahha.Actually we get on well.As the years go by,the relationship matures.It changes and I can read his mind.He can read my mind too.So pissing each other off?Not really.It is a lot of give-and-take.It takes a lot of work though.I am cool.He is hot.I am patient and he is always in a hurry.

Benghui is sometimes a thorn in the relationship,that is true.If I don’t nag,nag and nag,how will Benghui study?Benghui is more scared of Bengbeng.So,when I scold Bengbeng,Benghui will be worried and tries to be a good boy.

We didn’t get much sleep last night.Not romance under the coconut tree.Our dog was barking like crazy last night.My husband was blogging and I came downstairs.Suddenly,the car alarm went off.It was about 1.00a.m.Bengbeng wanted to open the door to check.I stopped him.We turned on all the lights.The neighbours too turned on the lights.

Only after a few minutes,did I let Bengbeng go out.There was no trace of anybody by then.We didn’t make a report.What’s the point.Nothing was stolen.Perhaps the intruder wanted to use our compound to enter the neighbour’s house. Anyway,it doesn’t explain why the car alarm went off.Unless the car was the target.which is also unlikely.We don’t drive an expensive car and it is a few years old.Maybe he accidentally knocked against the car hard when the dog made a fuss.Maybe the alarm malfunctioned.Glad Benghui slept through it.

I mentioned it because that is our relationship.I am the reverse gear.Bengbeng is impatient and I always slow him down for our own good.If he had opened the door,anything could have happened.I am his conscience.Do I trust him?Yes,because I am all he has.Underneath the tough exterior,he is mine and he knows it.hahha .He is the romantic.I am the Miss Calm and Collected.He used that nick for me,hahha.But it describes me well in contrast to him.

Our life has been good recently.He keeps telling me he will take me on a holiday with blogging income.I laugh.I will believe it when I see the money.To me to be together is enough.Traveling is a hassle.Perhaps now that we are blogging,there is more motivation to travel but family is more important.I don’t want Benghui to fault us for a childhood which he feels isn’t good enough.He is smart.

He is beginning to be an adult.At eight years old!Today is teachers’ day and he brought many gifts for his teachers.Whose money?Mine!But it didn’t matter to Benghui.He wanted to show his appreciation.I appreciate the teachers too but I purposely let him choose the gifts and I gave him a budget.It is values like these I want him to learn.To be a good decent person.To value people,to be initiative,to do good and stay out of trouble.To be able to earn an income to feed a family.I let him learn computer,music and wushu.Anything which interests him.

First thing he asked for was tv privileges as yesterday was the last day of the school examinations.I allowed it but nowadays we are using the carrot and stick philosophy.We always reward him for doing things which we think are good.Example,we say if you can finish your homework by 5.00p.m. we will take you jogging.If your results are good,we will take you to KFC.I try my best not to punish him but withdrawal of privileges is a form of discipline too.What do you think,Hijackqueen?

We do cane his hand on occasions too when it is necessary.Not enough to cause him pain but just enough to know he has done wrong.I hope he will turn out well.That is all I can hope for.The rest we have to leave to God.

Bengbeng says my post is too long.I must stop.Maybe he is afraid i will talk too much. hahha. Anyway after i finish writing he will have to do the linking and maybe find a pic.I don’t know how to do that stuff.hahha.I better not learn or one day he will ask me to do that for him.hahha.Best to be ignorant.

As for food posts,I think I am the better cook.hahha.When he does the cooking,I am happy.I can put up my feet and rest and he has material for a post.hahha.

The materials he bought for a laksa post….he just couldn’t find the time :). But we went shopping at New Sing Kwong for it and it was fun.Benghui enjoying the escalator.
