Sibu public reactions to pay raise for civil servants

A sunset pic I took this evening.
All the government servants of Malaysia will be rejoicing today. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi announced today that effective 1 July, government servants will get a pay raise of between 7.5% and 35%. The cost of living allowance will also be increased by 100%. The members of the police and the armed forces will receive 20% over and above the announced increase in pay.
Some reactions:

2.How much will I get? ( single mother with teenage sons )
3.Why graduates only get 15% but lower salary ones get 35% Mimi

the inflation will come ,let us just hope it will not be too much
im speculating inflation too. and since ther’s election comin, the gov mite even down the interest rates. lol. interesting. shall see how the think-tanks in the economics department work
BB: let us just wait n see
14. Will their service standards improve 35% too? (private sector slave)
BB: b4 this they were underpaid
so u could say their productivity was 35% over the expected rate.
I heard… I heard la. If pay raise then gov will increase the operation cost. then we the job seeker will not stand a chance to find job in the sector because less jawatan will be offered to decrease the operation cost impact. I think it is quite logic.Maybe there also some useless people will also dibuang.
Elvinado: wat u say makes sense. oledi i heard they have created a pool of all problem cases( ppl ) in the civil service.
