Food,food,glorious Penang hawker food

It is a Thursday morning and i have just had a bland halal fired rice.Rice fried with an egg and a small piece of salted fish thrown in. So boring! Why am I so frisky? ( interesting choice of vocabulary? ) hahaha

It is because i will soon be enjoying all the hawker fare of Penang, Kuala Lumpur and every where in between and enjoy. i can imagine myself surrounded by all the lovely choices of food over there.

Fried koay teow

Ah, Pulau Tikus chee cheong fun, Siam Road cha koay teow, Thein Teik fried oysters, KL fried hockien noodles and Gurney Drive loh mee. Hamilton Road Pasembur and ‘where to find this’ che hu and esplanade rojak. I don’t know whether all these fare is still there as I haven’t been there for a long, long time. But my stomach remembers :) yes, it remembers very well.

pglaksa
Penang laksa

And, I will not miss going to eat laksa. Not the Lorong Selamat variey but the ‘real stuff’ - the Air itam laksa. I remember once having food poisoning eating roti canai behind the Central Police station but I don’t want to miss the opportunity to eat their curry gravy.

Mrs Bengbeng asks me why i want to go there for a holiday. The answer is simple : I just want to pig out :) .Eat, eat and eat. I wonder whether Craven-A nasi kandar is still there. Or the side lane of Penang Road ice kacang. And I am going to bring back a store of nutmeg products :)

Chee Cheong Fun

What I am writing this morning is powered by a basic instinct: gluttony-gluttony for food. A colleague who just passed by raised his eye-brows and asked, food and not sex?” Life is like a variety show. We need a little of everything and at this moment I am primarily motivated by my salivary glands. hahahhah

But, but..what about all the hard work I put in doing all those abs crunching exercise? Do i want to look bloated and over weight again? Well, there is a time for diets and there is a time for eating. In Penang, what else is there but to eat : breakfast, lunch, tea, dinner and supper. For your info, here in Sibu, due to my lifestyle, I only have 2 meals a day: breakfast and lunch unless at a social function.

Have a nice day everybody. :)
