Cuepacs make new demands

TheStar

Just when Malaysians thought the issue of a pay raise is finally over for the time being, Cuepacs has come out with a new list of demands

1. Abolish the Efficiency Level Assessment (PTK)

2. Increase of the civil servant retirement age from 56 to 60 years.

3. Fully-paid maternity leave to be extended to cover seven children instead of the current five.

4. An increase in maternity leave from 60 to 84 days

5. Pensions to reflect the number of years in service.

6. Increase in promotion opportunities.

What do you have to say or comment about these new demands?

PTK buang masa aje.

If like this there will be inflation.Pay rise, inflation rise.Do they really need to have 7 kids?I sense something wrong with this demand. Can the country afford this increased pencen?

    I 101% don’t agree with this

    1. Abolish the Efficiency Level Assessment (PTK)

You see, I see the reasons why this must be there!

    Maybe Cuepacs should suggest:

    1) One week work 4 or 3 1/2 days only.

    2) Prolong lunch from 1 hour to 2 hours.

    3) Birthday salary bonus for staffs on their particular day of birth.

    4) Free lunch for Government servants. Fully subsidised.

    5) Free house for staff working more than 15 years.

    6) Remove punch card system.

Yeah, then these is what we call good demands.

After that, pass all the tax burden to the taxpayers in private organisations.

Ohh , good luck to Malaysian economy. Think about it, if you are an investor what would you do?

    The Malaysian economy will suffer.

We have morons leading unions and administrationrs.

Kami ini ada kerja.Bukan gaji buta.Kalau gaji kami lumayan, suruh Kean Jin-Lim pi kerja gomen. Lulus ptk naik pangkat lagi tak buat kerja,

i rajin sangat kerja utk rakyat, manyak bagus tapi tiada ptk,apa guna?.

How good is the civil servants efficiency?

Actually,Kean Jin, I believe you must have had some bad experience with the civil service. There are more than 1 million civil servants. If each has at least 4 dependents ,this will mean five million people will benefit. This will be about 20% of the nation’s population. This will bound to have some effect on the economy not all bad. It will stimulate the economy and increase the growth rate. The feel good factor will encourage them to spend, and money will roll faster benefitting all sectors of the economy.

There are doctors, nurses, firemen, policemen, army, JKR, teachers, etc etc. who sacrifice their lives to fulfil their functions in the bureaucracy. Not all are bad :)

Hmmm…a bit confuse. Since when I said civil servants pay hike was bad to economy? In this post, you asked for comment about Cuepacs new demands, then I gave mine one, efficiency.

    BB: yeah u r right :) , my mistake :)

I feel there is no need for them to increase the number of support to 7. Encouraging a low income earner to have more children … ??? Like the chinese saying … Get a hat which is right for the size of your head. Too big will just cause mishaps.
