The most embarrassing moment in my life

A cheeky niece of mine on myspace.com challenged me to write this post entitled the most embarrassing moment of my life. So, here goes. Remember, you promised to visit me this Christmas! :)

It had been a hectic day. I drove home from work, changed and rushed to the community hall. I was one of the invited guests and sat on stage. I was a little overdressed in a long-sleeved shirt and tie. I removed the tie immediately. Anyway, I was invited to sit on one of the few sofa-like chairs on stage normally reserved for ‘distinguished guests’.

In the front page of the Borneo Post, Sarawak State Police Commisioner Datuk Talib Jamal is quoted as saying that according to his knowledge there is no probe into involvement by politicians in gangsterism in Sarawak.

How do you express and receive love?

Tonight’s post is about personal relationships.

I had arrived at a restaurant where my family was waiting for me. Benghui rushed up to my car, shouting in glee to see me, “Daddy! Daddy!” It really touched my heart to see his love for me so transparent on his face.

I decided to teach him a lesson. I told him to not rush across the street like that as it was dangerous. He then told me he had looked at the traffic already and decided it was safe to cross the road.

I couldn’t resist using that title hahaha. I had an unexpected visitor today. I have French windows facing out to the street. Today a bird flew in right smack into the glass door. It probably didnt realize the glass was there.

All kinds of unfair speculation

The coffee shops are rife with every body speculating the parties involved in the police probe on gangsterism spear-headed by Bukit Aman. The IGP Tan Sri Musa Hasan has said investigations have already begun. The Chinese daily, Sing Chew Jit Poh also speculated as to the identities involved in the probe further fuelling the speculation.

Syabas to the police force

Talk about efficiency of the police force. In Kuala Lumpur, Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye had his car stolen the day after Father’s Day. According to him, there was a pasar malam nearby on the night his car, a Perdana was stolen.

He parked his car as usual the previous night and when he woke up, the car had in his own words, “Diasappeared’. He then informed the police, had his statement taken, the police came to take pics etc etc.

The chief minister of Sarawak when approached by reporters about police investigations into politicians alleged to be involved in the gangsterism issue said that the state government will respect the rule of law.

Of dieting and vegetarian food

Mrs Bengbeng looked at me yesterday and said, “That’s it. You are definitely too fat now. I looked at the scale 70kg. We must go on a diet.” I look at her and realized the diet must be meant for her. I gallantly said, “Lucky you still look very slim dear“.
