I want to make the most of my time in Kuala Lumpur and left home at 8.00 this morning armed with my camera. A real, ‘sua pah kau’ or country ahbeng in the big city. I was dropped at Serdang lrt station and went for breakfast. I couldn’t believe it! They charged me only 80 sen for a roti canai.
I then looked for the Mines shopping centre and then realized I had to cross to the other side of the road. Crossing the road was impossible. I was about to give up when, Cely called. What a pleasure it was! Finally to hear the SYT (sweet young thing’s) voice after reading her blog for such a long time. Just like a corny B-grade movie, when a boxer is about to give up and then sees his lover and suddenly though sheer will power wins the match
hahahaha so it was with me. I persevered and finally found an underground tunnel leading to the Mines.
Just when I was taking this pic of the underground tunnel, a man came and asked me for Rm4.00 said something about his friend not turning up and how he needed the money. We were all alone and I mentally calculated how much I was worth at that moment and decided that to give him might invite more trouble.
I pretended not to understand and left the place. He was stunned but did not pursue me. It was his eyes which frightened me. I was told if a person’s can’t stand the sun, it might be a sign of a drug addict. He was also a little high, I think. His clothes were also a little filthy but he was an able bodied man less than 35 years old at the most. He was very thin.
I normally wouldn’t spend RM28.00 on a 45 minute cruise but the idea of wandering aimlessly in the shopping complex didn’t exactly seem like an attractive prospect. The cruise was fun and full of photographic opportunities.
On board was a foreign lady dressed from head to toe all in black except her eyes. For a brief moment, I wondered how she must be feeling in the hot sun in the middle of the lake. Then I reminded myself it was none of my business. I saw her husband glaring at me. Perhaps he misunderstood my intentions
I seem to be getting a lot of being misunderstood recently
The driver of the boat was Teman Sari, 32, from Tawau. A very friendly and informative man, he made an excellent tour guide. He has a 15 month old son Mohd Sharoezy and he loves his work.
I was busy snapping pics as if i was a professional hahahhhahha.
As we were passing through a tunnel-like structure.
I thought these red flowers might brighten up my post just a little

I have never gone on that cruise.
RM28 is just too expensive for me. Can’t afford it, haha
It is because it is here and you can do it everyday
. I go because it is something I can’t do any day even if I want
