Photohunters: Theme – shiny

For this week’s theme, I chose this pic which I took in Kapit, in the upper reaches of the Rejang River, Sarawak.

Kapit is a very safe place with little crime to speak of. The woman wearing this jewelry was having breakfast with me and I was fascinated by her jewelry. She is a Lions Club member from Kota Kinabalu. She sportingly allowed me to take a pic of her jewelry. I think it fits the theme very well.

In my opionion the best part of your post is not the SHINNY jewerly as much as the fact that you live in a place that has hardly any crime at all. All I hear on the news in my city is crime stories… sad!

  3. Liz says:

Very shiny. Lovely colour stone in the ring too.

  4. Nice photo. I envy your living in a low crime area!

How very nice of the lady to let you take the photo… if it were NYC, she would probably think you’re casing out her jewelry so that you can mug her later :)

BB: It is not the Big Apple here more like the little tomato hahahahah…. people are less likely to be crime conscious…it helps that i dont look like a crook hahahahahahha

  10. Paulie says:

  12. Shawna says:

Very neat!! It looks very expensive! Solid gold, perhaps?!

BB: It is very solid gold. Even her handbag would be enough to feed a family for a few months or more. The gold can keep a family afloat for years :)

My geography is rubbish but that looks like Indian gold and it always fascinates me with it’s richer colour, our gold looks so pale.

  17. Dragonheart says:

Her jewelry is very detailed as well as shiny! Nice choice for the theme. :)

  18. JC says:

Very nice of her to allow you to photo her jewelry. It is a shame one has to be careful of where they wear their jewelry, but I would suppose it’s always been that way.

    Great choice for the theme!

  19. Montserrat says:
