Shearwey Ooi Ying Ying’s mum, Jess Teh is out on bail
Video Jess out on bail
Finally Jess Teh Hooi Wen is out on bail. To me that is a wonderful thing because it means that the police don’t hold her responsible for the death of her daughter.
Her family posted bail. The charge is for jointly possessing 1.5gm of cannabis at an apartment in Bandar Baru Air Itam with her boyfriend Ong Chee Leong. Her family also posted bail for lodging a false missing person’s report and another RM3,000 for consuming methamphetamine.
I just pray that her family will close ranks and surround her with the family support which she so desperately needs. She has suffered enough. And I hope readers will not judge her too harshly. She is also a mother and circumstances were out of her control.
Meanwhile lawyer Shaun Tan Kee Shaan who is representing karaoke lounge manager Ong Chee Leong, has expressed concern over ‘mob anger’. The passing of Yin Yin has touched the hearts of many and he expressed fears for his clients safety. He termed it “senseless public condemnation.”
He has urged the arrest of the huge angry crowd but George Town OCPD Asst Comm Azam Abd Hamid said they have the right to express their views.
“It is freedom of speech. We cannot arrest them as long as they do not misbehave, like throwing stones.â€
Meanwhile Yin Yin is not forgotten. Her family and various other groups have offered prayers to appease her soul to “gather her wandering soulâ€. This included about 200 Buddhist monks and nuns and thousands of devotees at the National Maha Sanghika Dana who chanted prayers and transfered merits for the living and deceased, including Ying Ying.

Why the couple want to kill the little girl?
What is their motive?
So sad.
