Coconut leaves and bamboo are two of the most abundant resources available in the rural areas. Here we see creative uses of the two natural resources.

    one of our arts class before we made handicrafts made of coconut leaves and bamboo. that is really creative and economical too.

    LOL, using bamboo tubes as dustbins kinda limits the things that can be thrown inside unless u can compact the garbage first.

    Yeah, I agree bamboo are very versatile and great for creative ideas.

    Coconut leaves and bamboo were widely used when I lived in the kampong many many years ago. It’s very hard to find bamboos now and it has become expensive too.

    BB: that may b so in Singapore but not over here :)

    We do have all these in the Philippines too. :) The weaved coconut leaves are still widely used during festivities in the provinces.

    The versatility of the coconut, the so-called Tree of Life. Those are the natural resources creatively use for a purpose which are earth-friendly rather than the plastic things. We do have these too in the Philippines.
