Rev Ou Yang Wen Feng leads service in Kuala Lumpur
KUALA LUMPUR: Rev Ou Yang Wen Feng led the faithful of about 100 through a two-hour Sunday service at a hotel here. He said it was important to show other gay people that it was possible to come out together, and to heterosexuals that gay relationships were not just about sex but about “spiritual and emotional love.â€
Ou Yang, 37, is a Malaysian pastor who serves at the Metropolitan Community Church (MCC) in New York. He is also currently pursuing his doctorate at Boston University. He hopes to set up an MCC branch here in 2010, before which, friends would help him start a cell group that he said was open to all regardless of their sexual orientation.
He said he was aware of opposition from certain quarters but that he would pray for them. To read more, here
When I first read of Rev Ou Yang Wen Feng’s visit back to Malaysia, I thought to myself of this man in spite of all odds and opposition serving God. It didn’t raise much controversy but today’s press report about same-sex partners etc etc makes me realize I know nothing of this issue at all. It is such a complex issue..this issue of sexuality. Being from New York, they may be more ‘aware’ of such issues. I am thinking perhaps they are advocating too much change too fast?
Is this country ready for this? It might not be inaccurate to say that the prospect seems to be a little ‘disturbing’. Granted I may be judged to be politically incorrect but it is still a little disturbing.

Hmm… this seems wrong but I withhold further comments until I read more about the story
Anyway, I decided to dish out all my questions out for Rev Ou Yang to answer. And I believe a lot of you would like to know more about him, his life, his stance, his ministry and his beliefs. So I am opening up this topic into an interview. If there are any of you out there who wish to ask him anything at all, please e-mail to me at choe.vivian@gmail.com, stating your name or group, where you are from and contacts. Annonymous people would not be entertained. I have my own life to live, so please only ask important questions. If you wish to have a private conversation with him, you can also e-mail to me, and I will pass the word to him perhaps have him contact you personally. God Bless.
