5 spice powder mushroom chicken

5spicechicken

I have been stuck at home the whole day. Mrs Bengbeng is out and I have to babysit Benghui. Her mother needs her. Apparently it has something to do with a growth on her leg. But I don’t think it is anything really serious or Mrs Bengbeng would have called me by now.

Anyway I cooked the above. trust me, it tastes absolutely divine. :) A friend told me it would taste far better if I add a little dash of red wine.

As for Benghui, he is so bored he has glued himself to the telly. As a temporary measure, I have implemented the following measures. I have divided out the garden. These are the areas he will be responsible for. I do not expect much from his gardening but I do so much want to tear him apart from this silly idiot box-the telly.

Will see how it goes. He can do a lot in a week if he puts his mind on it. He is also responsible for the concrete garden table and chairs.

Recipe for chicken:
500g chicken, soya sauce, 5 spice powder, garlic, onions, a little corn flour, a little salt, mushrooms, a little pepper..at least that’s all i remember :)

Besides gardening, maybe a game of badminton will do him good too. :)

he wants to play ping pong but i dont know where to bring him..a table would take up so much space in the home :(

wahh you have such a big compound! Really smart of you to keep Benghui occupied from the telly. Last time, my mom used to buy cheap pets like ikan kapis or those rm5 green terrapins for me to play with also just to keep me occupied during the holidays. Perhaps you should get one for Benghui also. heh heh heh

he will play one day and forget all about it hahahhaha not good boy like you :)

hi how come benghui has no friends to play with? does no one come to the house to play with him? i bet if he has lots of friends he can go out with or who come to the house to play he wont want to spend so much time watching tv. the gardening idea wont work if he is not interested in gardening. i think gardening is something people get into when they are old. I find a lot of old people take up gardening. Invite some of his school friends to come and play with him. i would think that is one thing an only child will miss. having people his own age to play with. What u think?

i live in a neighbourhood where everybody stays indoors behind gates…kids have big compounds n have big cars to drive them here and there. u dont see any neighbours’ children playing.

You know what? I used to play ping pong with my house’s dinner table. Maybe you can try that if you have a rectangular table. :P
