Linda: Mid 20’s woman, sales executive. Height 1.67m, slim, with curled hair. Large eye-glasses which make her look even younger almost school-girl like.
Linda: Have I told you? I met the most wonderful man. He is a Chinese Bidayuh. Oooh, he is so handsome. He is so caring, We were in a group and it was raining. He let us shelter in his car. I was so embarrassed and worried we would dirty his car. We also smelled from the long walk. He said it was ok. He said he also smelled.
Oooh what a wonderful man. His car is so clean and smelled of citrus fruits. There were impressive books on the back seat. The leather of the car seat was so comfortable and masculine. He even apologized he had no better place for us to shelter from the storm.
He is so caring. He even took some tissues and gave them to us so that we could wipe ourselves. I could not look at him clearly as I could only see his reflection in the front mirror. But he has a nice and so manly voice. I could just imagine myself in his arms dancing at the company dinner while he sweet-talks me in that voice of his. ( giggle-giggle. )
Bengbeng : Congratulations! Are you two an item now?
Linda; No, of course not. He doesn’t even know I exist. My friend asked him if his girl-friend would mind us in his car. He just smiled. An attached man would have said something. He has a nice smile. He also smiles with his heart and eyes.
Bengbeng; What language you are using today! This isn’t you. Are you ok

Linda: We work in the same department and often meet at the water cooler. He always seems to be at the entrance just when I am going out. Do you think he could…arr..maybe he is…. arr..wants to know me better?
Bengbeng; Only you will know.
Linda; I don’t think so. He wouldn’t. I couldn’t……..
The guy is a pretty wonderful guy but quite as ordinary a mortal as all of us. But love changes perceptions. Love sometimes amplifies strengths and blinds us to the faults of a person. But he is truly a wonderful human being and 27 years old.

I suppose you are describing Linda’s infatuation or attraction. Many do confuse love and the “feeling” of love.
Although the whole music scene thinksing Love is feeling, it is not an emotion.
Read 1 Cor 13 and you will find love is a verb - not a noun.
1 Cor. 13:4-8 (ESV)
“Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.”
Love is forgiving when one hurts you. Love is showing patience. Love is forbearing and enduring. It doesnt pass away because the feeling is gone. Love is a commitment that never ends.
That is the real meaning of Love.

Love from God is the best love one could ask for, it is unconditional, no threats, no insecurity, no hard work….He just pours His love regardless who you are, what you do or don’t do!
I think Linda will have to not try to hard otherwise she will be disappointed.
If you love something, leave it alone. If it belongs to you, it will come to you. This applies to people as well.
