Unknown spirits and God loves you,Bengbeng
Today’s post is out of the ordinary. Being a holiday, I went to visit a friend whom I do not hesitate to call my brother. He lives in a beautifully decorated link house. The place now looks totally different. Gone were the antiques and other interesting curios he brought back from his overseas trips.
Character : Neat, scholarly late 30s gentleman. Very conservative and a body builder.
Adrian : Beng, sorry I have been neglecting your family recently. My life is different now. I don’t know how it started but I have had a growth on my body. My immediate thought was cancer. I went to the Rejang Medical Centre, spent a fortune and in the end was told to seek a second opinion.
Now, it has been operated on, a biopsy was carried out and for the time being I am safe. I was in a state of despair for a while. To stop myself from my inner thoughts, I read the holy book. As I delved further into the holy book, I found myself occasionally shaking involuntarily and sometimes uttering words and sounds.
A faith healer came to town. He said there was nothing wrong with me. I don’t understand this phenomenon. I have joined a cell group. It gives me a new sense of direction as I probe into what’s happening in my life. I have also thrown away many of my prized antiques because I believe they harbor unknown spirits.
God loves you,Bengbeng. Beng, do you love God?
This unexpected question stunned me momentarily. I didn’t know how to answer. A flippant answer would be insensitive. He is the last person I would expect to embrace religion.

funny how ppl always find GOD when they have something traumatic happens to them
that is bcoz that is when they realize they r so unequipped to face harsh reality n that they r human after all
what holy book did he read? here is someone who is starting his spiritual journey.
his testimony is a little scary..the book is the Holy Bible. I have omitted out many details on purpose.
One can also say that ‘Funny, how we turn to our daddy/mommy when something bad happen to us (especially when we are teens), even though we dont really like to talk to them much about anything.”
Also, one can say “Funny, how we forget about God when we have plenty of money or are enjoying the world.”
