Come look and tell me what it is.

unknown-insect

I had an unexpected visitor today when this handsome critter landed on my trousers. It aroused quite a lot of attention as none of us present had ever seen it before. It has a head like the head of a match stick but no distinguishable eye or mouth parts.

Anybody knows anything about this creature? Have you seen it before?

At first I was worried it might bite but it didn’t. It didn’t seem to be able to fly but it was able to jump vertically. Very powerful jump too. Its lower part was so beautiful. More beautiful than any piece of man-made cloth.

nasi-lemak

To end this post, a pic of my lunch. Nasi lemak with tebaloi ( sago based biscuits), sontong ( cuttle fish deep fried ), nuts and anchovies in gravy sauce, half an egg, cucumber, piece of salted fish and a piece of cucumber. Lots of stuff for Rm2.40 don’t you think? Only in Sibu :)

Is it some kind of grasshopper with abnormal growth? Hmm… I am not good in Biology and I hate insects. :-P

if it is a praying mantis,it makes sense for it to not to have a head…..female praying mantis eats the head of their love mates once they are done mating…
