The saga of a Burmese Princess and The Bridge(Czech movie clip)
I came across precious today. Precious is a Malaysian who spends a lot of time in Singapore. I still don’t know the author’s gender but he/she writes eloquently and sustains a reader’s interest.
There isn’t much of a friendly look to the home page but the writing more than compensates for it. I rate it a definite worth a visit blog. I love to read stuff written here.
There is an interesting article on Burmese Royalty
There is also a video clip which deeply affected me.
The video clip
Most(Czech for ‘The Bridge’) is a beautiful Oscar-nominated movie and winner of many prestigious film festivals. It tells the story of the close relationship between a bridge operator and his young son and the fateful day when both try off an impending rail disaster.
A steam train full of hundreds of passengers are unaware of the danger as they head towards an open drawbridge. Most is both a heart-wrenching and glorious story that portrays the greatest measure of love, sacrifice, hope and forgiveness known to man.
Please be warned this video clip is a deeply disturbing video clip.

Thanks bengbeng! he has a good blog with good contents, but did he paid you for advertising? =P
ask him to. =) just joking anyway, have a nice day!
no payment involved lah
precious is a rather sentimental person and rather prone to dramatics. for eg, that post about the bus driver changing buses and he fearing he is being hijacked!!!! much fears about nothing.haha. but it makes for a good post dont u think? a bit of drama certainly brings on the adrenalin and powers the reader to read on.
as for the video, it must be me because I thought it was much ado about nothing. I am just a cynical old fool, because i would have just pull the lever to bring down the drawbridge long before the train came and go down to the track and yank that silly brat of mine out and send him on his way with a kick up his backside. haha. but then there will be no drama and hence no story and no one to see it and no anguish and tears. haha. life will be dull. no?
though i do not agree with her sentimentalising everything, she does write well, in a prone to dramatise sort of way. but that is what story telling is all about, right? to illustrate a moral, and slant it to a biased view.
take for eg that hibiscus story and the tiger orchid. in the comments precious made a very tellig comment. referring to someone who said it reminded him of the relationship between mother and child, precious said ‘like a parasite’ hmm very astute, and then precious tried to allay criticism by saying just joking. there is a lot of truth in there. dont u think? I agree with u that precious’ posts can be very thought provoking. The other one i like is the gold ingots for singlets. it is not necessarily that we agee with her viewpoint, I find i dont agree a lot of time, haha. but that is alright. s/he makes us think and s/he writes very well.
i hope precious reads this
lots of constructive comments here. dont know why cannot access yr blog
hmm nice intro, i’m gonna go check out Precious then
and the movie, aww all oscar nominated shows are disturbing haha… think beautiful mind, think chocolat. but then they’re all good

Wow, I just noticed these comments. I am amazed at how much thought and care each person have taken before writing in.
Bengbeng, I doubt advertising can pay for such a wonderful review so I would like to thank you by reserving a corporate box seat ticket for you to watch the National Basketball League this Wednesday even though my contest is not yet over.
Email me your full name and phone number so that I can add you to the guest list.
