Photohunters: Theme-Pink
The theme this week is pink. I raided the house and garden and the following are the only pinks I could find.
My bourgainvillea
I don’t know name of this flower
And Mrs Bengbeng’s dress. I suppose when we blog in English, bloggers from photohunters may not realize the cultural difference. I think this dress of hers will surprise a few.
It is a two-piece suit called a baju kurung. The top is a long sleeved blouse while the bottom in similar material is a sarong or if you are unfamiliar with the word, is a loose skirt. It is very comfortable, modest and cooling.
Have a great weekend every body.

I want to see someone modeling the baju kurung. Can?
That is pink lily.. right ?
yeah you are right, baju kurung is quite unique…
Mine is up too

i tried to get Mrs BB to model the baju kurung but no luck
Those are lilies
I second Yung’s suggestion
laugh out loud
kekeke, modeling in the baju kurung ? to be frank i haven’t seen a pink baju kurung. maybe i am too used to the common white and blue baju kurung used as school uniform -_-”
How come Mrs Bengbeng wears a baju kurung????
It is cool, comfortable and affordable.
She has the height so it looks ok on her. You can sit easily without worrying about anything
i have seen lots of female malays wearing pink baju kurung or baju kebaya during my trip to&from college…
i also have bourgainvillea at my house… too bad its not pink in colour…
Those are beautiful pink flowers and dress!:)
Mines up too!
Those are all beautiful shots. I think the second flower is an amaryllis. That’s what my pink ones look like in my garden.
Lovely flower photos, and the dress does look very comfortable!
I did shoot flowers too this week. I almost wanted to shoot the baju kurung too but I can’t find a good figure to wear it
Beautiful!! Have a great Saturday!
I love the pink foliage. Great photos. Sara from farmingfriends
Beautiful flower shots. A great take on this week’s theme. Happy weekend
A whole world of pink, very nice!
Both are beautiful!
Lovely flowers. This pink theme I am not so hardworking wor. You guys make me feel guilty liow.
Anyway, what I would like to say is that I really love to wear baju kurung. The last time I tried to buy one, the boutique was asking for MR$300 (cheapest one there). Wahliow…..no thank you!
that is expensive. wat u see here cost Rm60.00. it is made of a kind of material cool, not so soft as t cling on to the body and changes color slightly at different angles…a thai fabric.
Sorry, grandmother here again. You must be thinking what am I going on about pink theme.
Well, October is the month for pink supporting Breast Cancer research and awareness.
The pink is beautiful. The baju kurung is lovely - I quite often wear sarongs in summer down here because they are so cool. Enjoy your weekend.
Lovely… I can almost smell the flowers
These are some great choices for this week!!!
Bengbeng, will u get a set of pink Baju Melayu for yourself, since your wife has one set of pink baju kurung? I have seen some of the Malay guys wearing it. Kekkeke.. but i think u won’t
I have skinny legs and the soft material doesn’t look good on me. i wanted to buy the top but u b amazed how expensive it is here in Sibu.female baju kurung is cheap though
Lovely pink photos. The bougainvillea is a very soft colour. The second flower looks like an amaryllis.
Loved your flowers and the dress. Great choices for pink.

The baju kurung’s very pretty!
Wonderful choices for pink. I bet Mrs. Bengbeng looks lovely in this pink dress.
They’re called tiger lilies.
Lovely pink flowers and really interesting dress. Happy Photohunting :o)
I’d prefer baju kebaya because baju kurung will make me look like a coconut tree from afar, LOL.
yr hair looks like leaves of a coconut tree?
