Weekend snapshot: Week 8

WS2

For this week, I have posted a pic of Asian children from my archives. Every society treasures children. They continue our genetic heritage. Children are precious and innocent. They may think they can look after themselves but us adults know better.

I took my kid shopping. He wanted to buy a toy helicopter very much. It costs RM68.00 which isn’t very much and isn’t cheap either. From experience I know he will spoil it in half an hour or so. Even if he doesn’t spoil it, he will lose interest in it after an hour or so.

He sulked and hid himself. We couldn’t find him :( He couldn’t find us either. Some staff of Sing Kwong Supermarket helped us to locate a very frightened little boy. :)

Have a great week everybody.

That’s a wonderful shot of the children. I’m glad you found your son. Those times can be so scary. He’ll probably be more careful next time he doesn’t get a toy he wants. Happy week.

    it was scary indeed

What a story! Kids don’t appreciate the possible dark outcome of their choices….I’m glad your little guy was safe and sound.

    Haiyo.
No matter how angry he was, he shouldn’t have done that.
Make sure the lesson stick in his head.

And .. I have ingrained in my son’s mind … I won’t buy any toys more than RM10 for him :P

    a great idea

So there was a manhunt for your kid. :) Good thing he is fine and the parents are too. I also put a cap on the things I buy for my daughter. One way of teaching them the value of money.

    i will do that. thanks

Thanks for visiting me. I answered your question about Halloween in the comments section of my WS entry. It’s a long answer so rather than copying it here, you can go to my WS entry and under your question is my description of Halloween. Take care, Carver

My goodness! How scary you must have been!

I think it was as scary for you as for him. You feel like you’ve lost your heart and missed many heartbeats, unable to breath properly.

We’ve been in that situation before. Thank goodness he was found.

I can say from experience how scary that is, but it is also a valuable lesson! He won’t be rushing off to exercise his independence again for a while! Kids!

I liked your pic and your thoughts.
