Miel my blogger friend from Shanghai

I first started reading Miel’s blog some time ago. He is a Singaporean residing in Shanghai, China. From his blog I read interesting articles on China, news, archaelogy, cultural heritage, photography, reviews, life, social issues and current affairs through his eyes.

He is quite expressive. He blogs about whatever he fancies so I got confused sometimes e.g. when he blogged about Penang ( Unesco site ) as he is based in China. I suppose he gets the necessary info from the net and the topic interests him. He also blogs about Singapore and mainly China.

I cannot read blogs from China as they are written in Chinese so his blog gives me a peek into China through a foreigner’s eyes.

He is concerned about and promoting and hopes to help raise funds for yvonnefoong

So apart from these are the posts about social issues in China. Visit him and leave a comment. I am sure he will appreciate it. Or just say hi.

There are a lot of paid posts. Skip them and read about the world through his eyes.

An example of his views:
Beng, for your information, guess what. Oil prices here raise by 8 percent. 500rmb more per tonne. China here facing oil crisis. At the same time they digging into other continent’s resources like Latin America and Australia. i am currently in Adelaide. Very expensive place i tell u. Well if i convert 500rmb and get like only 56 Aussie dollars, can’t do nuts. Sleep my way through in the backpackers hostel i found downtown while waiting for the next flight back to Shanghai.

but i can assure you. people will still be buying petrol here(one man even get killed during a brawl for jumping Q, yuh chinese here dunno what is called Q one). i pity the raise in prices in sibu for you. but here. china. prices are raising. people still pay for the luxury. while the poor struggles to keep themselves alive.
