My Longkang

I arrived home at about 1.30 this morning from a trip outstation. Then early this morning Benghui woke me up. He had food poisoning. Another scare there for me. I suspect it is due to the food I bought for him yesterday. It was impossible to cook with the renovation going on.

Before I could even park my car at the Sibu General Hospital, my hand phone rang. I was stunned. A few of my friends were there. They had seen my car. I handed Benghui to Mrs Bengbeng while I went over to investigate the riot of color at the general hospital’s main entrance.

The lions and leos had gathered there to launch Leo Service Day. There were smiles every where. Even the normally harried staff at the hospital seemed upifted by all the smiles and laughter. The reporters were also there. I was fortunate to have my camera and took some pics myself.

I then followed my friends as they went around distributing gifts to the children in the children ward and also the mothers in the maternity ward. Here in this pic you can see some of the dedicated staff who man this excellent government facility. No horror stories here. It is super-duper clean and well managed by efficient staff.
