Sibu floods bye-bye. See you maybe 21st to 29th December 2007

drain water level

Seems like the ugly nightmare is over. Look at the level of water in my drain. It is almost back to normal.

floods pedada

This particularly bad stretch of road along Jalan Pedada has almost gone back to normal too. It is passable to all traffic now.

birds

The happiest beings around are these birds. Perhaps it is because the wet soil forces their food to come to the surface.

malay stall food

It was a busy day at the office this morning. I didn’t cook and instead bought some food.

lunch

Can you imagine these three dishes for only RM8.00?

Foods in Sibu are marvellous - they are cheap and delicious. They should have been promoted as a tourist attraction.

the KL -Sibu flights r way too expensivelah

Healthier to cook your own! Put less oil, salt and msg!!! And choi! Choi!!! Don’t hope for the flood to come back!!! If we follow the Chinese lunar calendar, the next high tide is on the 15th and highest on the 18th!!! U can go check ur traditional Chinese calendar to see when that will be! Sometime around Christmas Day. May my Christmas wish come true - no flood!

sometimes there is no choice..unless u cook n deliver :)
