The size of the Grand Livina is close to that of an Avanza but the Nissan sits lower. This might deter some buyers who have a phobia of sinking roads and floods. Its looks are bold and different. The side profile is well proportioned and quite clean, with well defined edges rather than a curvaceous look. it is spacious and comfortable although the ceiling is low for a MPV.

The instrument panel has a simple layout and pleasing to the eye. Check it out here

I would love to trade in my bone-shaker for this car but I am not in position to change my car at the moment :) . Check out if you can afford it here

furniture in garden Furniture in garden

Mrs Bengbeng is on the warpath again. I am so glad she has already gone off to work. I moved some of the furniture outside to the garden. Notice the curtain rails. The thought of washing it never crossed our minds. Didn’t realize it could get so dirty. Because it is so high, we never saw it.

Sibu flood the biggie 2007 didn’t happen

Every body was expecting the worst yesterday but it didn’t happen. There must have been a collective sigh of relief all over the central region. Earlier the region was spooked by a warning from Dr George Chan. The next flood alert is from Dec 21st to Dec 29th

Of fishing in Sungai Merah, get-rich-quick-scheme and tropical orchids

I can’t believe what I did this morning. I went fishing at Ulu Sungai Merah. My driving instructor friend invited me to join him. I told him it would be ok if we didn’t come back too late for me to go to work after lunch.

Merry Christmas away from the television and handicraft

One of the side effects of the flood is that I have removed my furniture to higher ground. This means no more television. Benghui is like without his regular fix. Slowly I find without the idiot box, he is improving. He is reading, drawing, coloring, helping with the household chores and even did this in Sunday school. He insisted I blog this card he made especially for clare and all the readers of mylongkang.

Merry Christmas to you all and your families.
