What can be more traditional and old fashioned than a birthday celebration with friends and good food. No modern music or modern dances. These pics were taken a few hours ago at RH Hotel, Sibu. I was invited by friends to play host to Taiwanese friends and also to celebrate a friend’s birthday.

Never been to RH but I’ve heard many horror stories - so expensive and the food’s so cheap and horrible??? “Lakia chai”? I can eat that at any roadside stall!!! How much per table? RM350??? RM400??? Go other restaurants, u can feast like a king for that kind of money!

When I read ‘old fashioned birthday’ I’m reminded of those chinese restaurants with the big big red word “Shou”? on the stage background..heehee

Happy birthday to whoever! No noodles and hard boiled eggs? I’m also fascinated with the mutton on bread dish.

Your birthday party has made me hungry! It’s been a long time since I’ve been to an old fashioned, pin the tale on the donkey and other childhood games party. Great post!
