My Longkang

Character : Retired civil servant.

Sam : It is not the same. I hate the new year holidays. I prepared some goodies but had no visitors. Every body seems to have visitors except me. I do not know why this is so. At a younger age, I made the decision to remain single. it didn’t seem a bad idea at that time. But it does get lonely nowadays.

I mean, I do the same routine every day. If anything were to happen to me, who would know? It is not enough to watch movies. Come on. It is a world of make believe.

If I could turn back the clock, I would marry and not be so choosy. I had power but that was due to my position. Now I am retired, I am Mr. Nobody. It would be nice to have kids and a wife by my side. I think I will join my friends and leave Sibu the next CNY season. It is a depressing time. My parents are long gone.

I tried visiting some friends. I couldn’t get a group of friends to accompany me. I went alone. It is embarrassing to me and to them. I have to leave after a few minutes. Before I knew it I had no more houses to visit.

I tried religion but they want me to conform to their ways. They are asking me to pay a price to be a part of them.

I was there at the airport waiting for the PM. It was raining and he was late It seems that Sibu is getting marginalized. Perhaps they are confident of winning the Sibu parliamentary seats. I expected Sibu to receive some goodies from this visit seeing that the elections is so near.

I will vote for BN. It is good to have stability in a government.

My comment: Sam will vote for the BN any time. He never changes his habits He cannot visualize changes from his usual routine.
