Children bicycles and junk-Photohunters:metal
For this week I showcase this piece of metal. It is junk. It was a bicycle and also my son’s most prized possession. When a intruder came to my house, it was the first thing he checked. To see if it had been stolen. It has no seat and is barely serviceable.
He can spend hours on this bicycle. Why don’t I buy him a new bicycle? He is not ready. I am afraid if he has a new bicycle, he may expose himself to danger by cycling on the roads. Am I a horrible father? I guess I am but I am not ready to face the risk of something happening to him on the road.
Happy photohunting every body and have a great weekend. ![]()

That tricycle is so cute. If you accompany him cycle in the park, should be quite safe unless other kids ram into him while cycling.
Thank goodness you didn’t mention the dog was metal as well..heehee
I’m still trying to get my son to cycle on 2 wheels with failed attempts!! *nightmare*
i want to delay that day as much as possible
hi bengbeng, why not put a seat there and remove the side wheels so he can balance on it and ride it? that would give him a chance to ride properly instead of with those side wheels. u r right about not getting him a proper bike, but not for ur reason of safety, but because he still had not learnt to ride a bicycle. the danger of those two side wheels is that he gets used to them, and so never learn to do without them. like life, really.
nolah…i am not ready for that
*piak piak Bengbeng*
Horrible father! Let him ride in the house lah or bring him to the park when you have the time!
his exams r next week and his tuition etc etc. how can?
haha, my kids are just the same .. wont let go of anything
What a cute trike even without the seat… is it uncomfortable though???? Happy weekend!
Oh, it’s not anymore repairable? I love the color though. Kids can spend hours on end with a toy they are crazy about even if it is junk to us, adults. We’re party poopers.
being a new parent, i understand your dilemma of buying him a new bike…
and boy, i wondered if the dog was a metal toy.
Terrific idea for metal.
Happy Easter [or happy weekend, if you don't observe the holiday], and if you can, drop by for my metal interpretation!!! See if you can guess what it is.
brings back great childhood memories…
great choice!
I agree - kids here are not allowed to cycle among traffic before the age of 12 years, but in the parc - with helmet of course (according to the law).
I would buy a new bike and give him some rules.
Happy Easter
Aiks… Why Beng Beng doesn’t want to buy him a new bicycle? Buy one for him and one for yourself and ride along together. Firstly, he would be happy. Secondly, he would be safe riding with you. Thirdly, you can get more exercise.. hahaha
P/S: I hope I can post this time. I do not know why I have problem with the commenting here always.
funny thing is I was thinking of u yesterday n wanted to go over to yr blog today but i was too busy

How cute, and how typical that it would be the first thing he would look for after robbery. Kids are so funny. I’m with you, keep him safe.
It very colorful and new metal bike. It doesn’t have a proper seat but it still has four wheels.
I think it should be safe if you lock the gates so that he can’t get out of your own compound.
