Happy Easter Day
Benghui : Daddy, teacher gave me two eggs. They are already cooked. It is because it is Easter. Yippee.
Bengbeng : So what is Easter?
Benghui : I don’t know. Teacher prepare a lot of food but I didn’t eat. It is too spicy. Teacher show us a video of Jesus.
Honestly I really don’t know the meaning of Easter Day although I have seen the movie The Passion of Christ. What does Easter mean to you personally? Some say faith comes with age and experience. They say faith will overcome all ignorance and obstacles.
On this day, I check myself and realize there is so much I still don’t know and have yet to learn ( Perhaps this is just an excuse but I have always had a skeptical mind even as a child ). It is particularly difficult for me as I discovered the faith at such a late stage in my life. When I read other Sibu based blogs like Tony Hii’s and Yan’s corner : I am amazed and yet highly appreciative of how faith is actually a part of their every day lives. For me it is compartmentalized just like everything else in my life.
Ah, if I could have a simple faith and be less questioning. Some readers may attack this article but it is basically how I feel. I want to experience a real faith too but it is difficult to walk the talk or live the faith. I however will not give up hope and will struggle to lead a life closer to God. I must not fail. I will have to succeed if I want to be an example for Benghui to follow.
But perhaps if I ponder on this post here I might know the real meaning of Easter.

dun worry, u r not alone..i also cannot find faith but fear not coz most ppl as they grow older & getting nearer to their graves suddenly they find faith so here’s hoping for the both of us! hahahaha..happy easter!

Actually you have the answer. Read what you have written. Anyway, the Easter eggs are for the non religious people just like the Santa Claus is for the non religious. It would be too late when you are going down 6 feet and you know you need Jesus.

A faith in believing that Jesus conquered death, i.e. risen from death eternally, is simple. And as you said, don’t question so much, because it’ll blur you more, making you so confused that you won’t believe the simple truths.
