Chinese herbal chicken soup and simple Malaysian dinner

chinese herbal chicken soup

Being a weekend, I decided not to eat out but to cook Chinese herbal chicken soup today. It turned out quite well and very easy to cook. The secret: ?

spices packet

I bought a all-in-one packet of herbs at the supermarket. I boiled it with the chicken, oyster sauce, salt and pepper, and some concentrated soy sauce.

stir fried cucumber

pomfret in teriyako marinade

Pomfret in teriyaki marinade.

For this dish fry the pomfret until the fish doesn’t stick to the wok. Overturn and do the same. For the gravy, I used some chilly sauce, teriyaki marinade, soy sauce, crushed garlic, finely chopped onions and some salt and pepper.

You don’t need much time to cook a dinner like this. Just about 35 minutes will be sufficient. The only thing is waiting for the soup to cook. When it was all ready, I realized :( I forgot to cook the rice :) hahahhahaha
