David Tao: Tian Tian and Jiu Shi Ai Ni

I first got wind of this singer from tehais. Things just moved on from there. Benghui drifted into the servants room ( the room I blog in as we don’t have a maid ). He said he enjoyed the song. Then Mrs BB came in saying she enjoyed the song. Then both of them started singing along :) A nice enough way to spend a Saturday night. Sibeh song..some more no need to spend any money :) So romantic can die ;) lah

Hey there, thanks for the link…

btw, did you know one of his songs starts with a sentence of BM (”Kembalilah, itu saja, sayangku. Terima kasih.”) as the starting “backdrop” of the song? Its in his song called “十七岁”. Its from his first self titled album which came out in 1997. The one on youtube has that part cut out though for some weird reason.

David Tao is well known in the Chinese music industry for being the King of R&B as he “introduced” & popularised that genre in Chinese music.

Anyway, if you like the songs. Don’t forget to check out the “classics” :

    - 爱很简单 “I love you” (which commmenter Alex was “singing along to”)
    - 沙滩 “blue”
    - 望春风 “Spring Wind” rearrangement of hokkien folk song
    - 夜来香 “Tuberose” accapella version of that famous “ye lai xiang”

Some of my personal favourites is 小镇姑娘 “Small Town Girl”, 普通朋友 “Regular Friends” and 二十二 “Twenty two”

Anyway, those are another few more songs you can youtube for another few weekends of Internet karaOK ;-) thats all for now.
