Photohunters: uninvited visitors but a familiar sight
Apart from my family, other beings too inhabit my home. I generally do not place too much importance on them. As a rule, we do not kill these creatures unless we absolutely have to or accidentally step on them. We try to keep them out by using netting at the windows. Insecticides are taboo in my home. I am just sharing with you some of the fellow inhabitants of my humble home and garden.
1. small worm-like creature
2. beetle
3. moth
4. lizard
Have a great weekend every body
and thanks for dropping by.

Erm… erm… I can’t help to wonder what is the first worm-like creature???
Hmm.. no insecticide at home? Do you know that the hairy worm like caterpillar can infest your whole garden? I had a plant with medical value for wounds about 6 feet tall and these creatures made a cocoon nest out of it. There are hundreds of them. Before the cutter can come to chop down the plant, the whole fence was filled with them. Can you imagine that? Scary caterpillar that is…
Anyway, you have some nice shots this week. Mine are all mystical and unexplained phenomenon shots this week.

that hairy creature is a caterpillar, but i dont know what butterfly it becomes.the beetle i guess is a rhinocerous beetle, so called because it has a horn that looks like one,(to confirm it look for that horn) the moth is a tiger moth,I think.the lizard is a gecko. though it does not look like the geckos in my family home in Petaling Jaya. which is light coloured. this one is speckled. nice pics and shows a lot of common creatures that comes into the home. in season, we get termites that fly in and shed their wings and couple up and run of to hide (presumably to mate).
*shudders*
Yup first one is caterpillar. This will eventually transform into either a butterfly or moth.
The caterpillar looks similar to those we have here, though not in the house (we have millipedes, ants, and spiders) and I have seen a moth similar to that before–I can’t remember the name but it is a moth and not a butterfly if I remember correctly (the hairy antennae and flat wings instead of wings that stand up in resting position make it a moth and not a butterfly.)
We don’t use insecticide either though we do kill the ants and millipedes–not the spiders though.:)
You are too kind… we are not so much to uninvited guests
Wonderful tribute to your Mom, also!
Thanks JC.
I have creatures here, too - but rarely indoors and it isn’t enough to call it a problem or anything - just a random lizard or caterpillar, etc..
LC, i oways have problem commenting on high tech server like multiply.com
but to reply yr comment, i try to not hurt other beings where ever possible so it never becomes a problem..i just try to avoid them or pretend they dont exist
Yeeks…hate all these crawlies and flying insects! :O
