Sofa make-over and living room face lift
Some of you might know I have been shopping around for a new sofa set. But inflation has made a purchase of a sofa set even further out of my reach. My sofa set is so old that I am bored stiff of looking at it every day.
The same boring, black pvc covering staring at me every day. The sofa is made of heavy nyatoh wood and just refuses to break down or something. It is still as sturdy as the day it was bought.
So, this morning when Mrs Bengbeng insisted I follow her to see a particular set of sofa cushion covers I knew she had her heart set on it. She told me it was on sale at Rm89.90. Altogether `14 pieces of cushion covers. Benghui likes it too. To me, anything would be better than the old set. I have saved a bundle not buying a new sofa set. 
Cash in hand is always better than a new sofa set. The living room looks brighter and less gloomy too… like a face lift
The thought of throwing away my old sofa set seems wasteful when it is still in good condition. What do you think?

simple economics dictates my course of action
I think it looks good. I have also learned to be better with my money, mostly learned from my wife. I wish I would have picked up this habit earlier in life.
It looks light and airy, a good look for the tropics.

Don’t change the sofa… the one you have sounds solid and does its job well. The newer sofas don’t really last that long, unless you buy those expensive ones.
they are heavy…heavy. so most of the time they r not moved at all. they been there like for ages..never moved..taking up precious valuable space
