Haze, hot spot and warm stuffy weather

red moon

This morning I was surprised to see a huge red moon in the sky. That doesn’t happen often in Sibu.

shadow of plant

I took a pic just to show you how strong the shadow is and proportionately you can imagine how hot the weather is.

river side

A friend invited to cool off near the river.

river water murky

The water was murky and almost milo-like.

small boat

I understood when we reached the bank. There was a small boat there. He said there was a sand bank somewhere nearby where we could cool off. He asked me to row to the place :( Iiks!! I would probably get lost and drift to the South China Sea or something.

butterfly

Looking at my inappropriate footwear, I decided to give it a miss. I spent a minute taking a pic of this lovely butterfly. By the time I had finished a pic, I saw some presumably foreign workers seemingly appear from nowhere and cooling off in the river. I thought it best not to take pics unless my intentions be misunderstood. :)

things are just going to get worse… the haze i mean… really hate it… it’s like a blardy annual royalty payment.

nothing much we can do actually

Yeah, the boat doesn’t look very good condition. Could get that sinking feeling :-(

in that case, it is fortunate i didnt get on the boat :)

The red moon means that there are a lot of dust particles in the sky. If you notice, even sunrise and sunsets are very yellow these few days.

If I remember correctly, all the dust particles are scattering the shorter wavelengths of moonlight, leaving the longest wavelength (red colour) to reach our eyes. This is why the moon looks red.

that explains it. but this morning there was heavy rain…back to normal again liao :)
